Great Premiere: Facebook will attend RoNewMedia

Facebook will join Google, Microsoft and Yahoo at RoNewMedia, which becomes the largest new media event ever held in Bucharest
For the first time, Facebook will be present at an Internet related conference organized in Romania, through a first-rank official.
Mark Cowan, Head of Emerging Markets EMEA [Europe, Middle East and Africa] at Facebook, will join the leaders from Google, Microsoft and Yahoo who will give the keynote presentations and take part in the debates scheduled for RoNewMedia 5.0.
“We praise Facebook’s visit in Bucharest the same way we enthusiastically acclaimed the guests from Yahoo and Google, who also came for the first time in Romania in order to attend the past editions of our conference. This year they chose to join us again which obviously proves that, like every other European capital city, Bucharest can host as well high level conferences”, said Dragos Stanca, founder of RoNewMedia.
Head of Emerging Markets, Mark Cowan is responsible for the development and raising awarness of the social media marketing tools offered by Facebook, in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Primarily held for two days this year, on 9th and 10th November, RoNewMedia will bring on at Crystal Ballroom & Events the last-minute waves and techniques in online advertising, mobile marketing, gaming, social media, digital marketing and online entrepreneurship.
On 9th November, during the Inspiring Day, Mark Cowan will be on the RoNewMedia stage together with Hugo Barra – Product Management Director & Global Product Lead for Mobile, at Google; John Hrvatin - Lead Program Manager Internet Explorer, at Microsoft; Ebbe Altberg – Vice President & Head of Audience Europe, at Yahoo, Timothy Bataillie – Business Development CEE, Turkey & MENA region, Netlog, Laurent Haug – founder and CEO of Lift conferences (Geneva, Elvetia) and Kim Weckstrom – Serial Entrepreneur,Senior partner at Avaus Consulting & Board Member at Interquest Oy.
What is more, trainers from Yahoo, Google and other leading global Internet companies will hold workshops during Working Day, the second day of event, while the evenings and nights are booked for informal networking, parties and RoWebCampaign Gala, a competition that starting this year will also include the tradidional awards for great achievements in web design and web TV.
Furthermore, RoNewMedia 5.0 will host all along RoHiTech, an high technolgy exibition.
