Tomáš Bella is the CEO of Piano Media, a Bratislava-based central European company that launched the world's first nationwideonline subscription-based content payment system for media websites in Slovakia in May 2011 and in Slovenia in January 2012. 

After graduation from Bratislava's Komensky University with a degree in journalism, Bella worked at Slovakia's biggest newspaper, SME as a reporter, sub-editor and project manager. In 2004, he established the first European newspaper-owned blog portal, blog.sme.sk, which still has over 20,000 registered users.  He was appointed editor-in-chief of the online edition of SME in 2007 and held that position until he he became deputy director of SME.sk in 2009.

Bella is partners in a Slovak-Czech consulting firm, NextBig and lectures in on-line media at the Pan European University in Bratislava.
